The CPAT is a timed test that measures whether candidates are physically tasks that are designed to mirror essential job functions that firefighters would be expected to perform at fire scenes.
Video Test
The FireTEAM test is a video-based exam that assesses human relations, mechanical aptitude, reading ability, and mathmatics skills for potential firefighters.
Oral Board Interviews
A structured interview in front of a panel consisting of fire department officers and members.
Chiefs Interview
The final step: a one-on-one interview with the Fire Chief.
Job Simulation Test
During the physical test you will be expected to perform the following tasks: a stair climb, hose drag, equipment carry, ladder raise and lowering, crawling with equipment, fire hydrant evolution, ceiling breach and pull, rope pull, victim rescue, and the keiser sled.
